چکیده
Disentangled ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene dUHMWPE (Mw ∼ 2.106 Da) particles in a reactor blend with HDPE are catalytically prepared from ethylene, mediated by new catalyst N,N'-(2,6-pyridinediyl diethylidyne) bis[2,6-di-3-propenyl-benzenamine] iron dichloride and triethyl aluminum. These could be laser sintered, but not automatically processed an SLS machine. The same supported on microsilica gives access to composite [email protected] particle powder sizes below 200 µm. Testing bars heat pressing have Emod of 150 MPa, elongation at break 450 % ultimate strength 39 ± 11 MPa. A SEM image indicates silica induced crystallization into pseudo spherulites 500 µm size. fcc flowability value 3.4 ring shear tester, low density kg.m−3. Characterization of Metal Powders Used for Additive Manufacturing
Additive manufacturing (AM) techniques can produce complex, high-value metal parts, with potential applications as critical parts, such as those found in aerospace components. The production of AM parts with consistent and predictable properties requires input materials (e.g., metal powders) with known and repeatable characteristics, which in turn requires standardized measurement methods for p...
متن کاملAdditive Manufacturing in Practical Use
Today’s product designer is being asked to develop high quality, innovative products at an ever increasing pace. To meet this need, Additive Manufacturing has shown the possibilities of enabling complex geometry and economic small batch production. As a result, AM opens a new opportunity for designers to create innovative products that were unfeasible to be manufactured economically before. Exa...
متن کاملPower Consumption-based Detection of Sabotage Attacks in Additive Manufacturing
Additive Manufacturing (AM), a.k.a. 3D Printing, is increasingly used to manufacture functional parts of safety-critical systems. AM’s dependence on computerization raises the concern that the AM process can be tampered with, and a part’s mechanical properties sabotaged. This can lead to the destruction of a system employing the sabotaged part, causing loss of life, financial damage, and reputa...

This paper extends 3D simulation results of layer hatching process strategies for additive manufacturing by electron beam melting (EBM) applications to exploit the future energy potential of electron guns with higher beam power. The physical model, discretized by a three dimensional thermal lattice Boltzmann method, is briefly presented. The numerical implementation is validated on the basis of...
